GDPR Data Request to Your Mobile or Broadband Provider

Telecoms providers hold extensive data about your communications and movements. Location data from mobile networks in particular can reveal detailed patterns about your daily life.

Data typically held by mobile / broadband providers

Note: Call content is not typically retained after a call ends, but metadata (who you called, when, for how long) is kept for billing and lawful interception purposes. Location data from cell towers may be retained for several months.
Tip: Telecoms providers are regulated by both GDPR and sector-specific rules (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations in the UK). Your GDPR request covers all personal data, regardless of which regulation governs its collection.
